"My 15 YO son had all 4 wisdom teeth removed on 10/4/24. Dr. Sexton, Savannah, and Danielle were AMAZING! My son was a little nervous about the surgery, but Dr. Sexton and Savannah made the procedure like a calm relaxing nap. Dr. Sexton also called on day 2 after the surgery to make sure he was not having any pain and there was no complications. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Sexton Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for all of your oral surgery needs!"

"I have NEVER been anywhere like this before!!! This was my first visit & consultation with Dr Weiskopf for a tooth implant. Everyone was sooo friendly!! Dr Weiskopf was very sweet & informative!! Took his time to answer every question I asked. His assistant, Olivia, was just as nice & made sure I was comfortable with the X-rays she took! Jennifer, who I spoke to about insurance & cost of the procedure was very nice & also answered all of my questions & had even printed out an explanation of the cost for me. I just couldn’t believe how EVERYONE made me feel as if I had been going there forever!!!!"
"I was nervous before my surgery, but laughing gas & several female nurse assistants helped me calm down before I was anesthetized. I was awakened when it was finished & I felt fine. A little numbness in my mouth, similar to the feeling after having dental work."

"This was my first visit and I must say from the time I walked until departure it was Great Experience! I have a phobia of the Dentist, but that didn’t exist here! "The office is so clean and the nurse who took care of me told me what was going to happen step by step!! She was great! DR. Weisskopf was amazing before I new it I was walking out with the nurse ! I felt like it took 1 minute but It actually took 45 mins!! I will not be as nervous for my next appointment because of how I was taken care of!! So far so good!! "Needed fourth teeth pulled, three of them being wisdom teeth. Sexton was originally booked for almost two months in advance for a consult, but after being put on a cancelation wait list, I was able to be seen within two weeks of my original booking. After the consult, things professed fairly fast and my appointment was made two weeks later to get the teeth extracted. Sexton's staff and surgeons were very pleasant the entire time and their customer service skills were excellent. I'm a very anxious person and they did a great job with preoperative small talk to calm my nerves. They give you a very detailed handout with what you should and shouldn't do after surgery which I thought was super nice. All in all, I have nothing negative to say about Sexton, it was a wonderful experience. If you are looking for an oral surgeon in the Memphis area, this should be your first and only stop!"

"Clean and quick. I had a bad infection in an old root canal on a cracked tooth. Also, I wanted to get my wisdoms removed. So 5 teeth removed. I got a bone graft to set me up for an implant to replace that infected tooth. Healing’s been smooth. Barely any swelling. Bleeding stopped after a couple hours. They hooked me up with the good stuff but 600mg ibuprofen been enough. Weiskopf’s experience really showed. Love seeing a professional do his thing."

They are aware of some of the painkillers having addictive effects which is comforting and they have options to avoid those drugs. They even have an optional follow up 2 weeks later if you are concerned about something too. I’m glad I went here for my removal"

"I highly recommend this office & Dr.Sexton if you need any Oral Surgery.. I was only there for a consult so will give further review if or once I complete my surgery.. It's a clean office.in a nice area..it's never a long wait to be seen..the staff was friendly & explained everything to you.. Dr.Sexton was very nice & friendly & made me feel comfortable & he explained everything so I can understand it & asked if I had any questions.. I can't say I'm looking forward to the surgery but I feel comfortable after just a consult with having him to do it.. I made it thru the surgery..the staff made sure I got safely to my waiting driver & ride with instructions on after care The staff was attentive caring & calmed my anxiety before the surgery with music to my liking, encouraging words & laughter Dr.Sexton is a THE BEST ORAL SURGERY DENTIST & my 1st hopefully only.. If I ever needed any more work done I'd be pleased to have him.. He takes great pride in his work & the care of his patients.. He called me after work hours himself to see how I was after surgery.. That was so important & made me feel great even tho I was in alot of pain... If you need Oral Surgery consider this facility.. I was'nt happy having to pay out of pocket on a portion of the surgery when I was told there would be no hidden or additional cost..But it does not take away from the staff being nice & friendly.. a clean office or the fact that Dr.Sexton is a great Oral Surgeon that cares about the work he does on his patients"

"Dr Sexton & his staff were very pleasant and thorough during my initial visit. I received clear explanation of the procedure for my tooth to be pulled. The day of the procedure I was nervous. However due to the anesthesia I received I didn't feel any pain. Dr Sexton spoke to my family member after the procedure. Family said the Dr was great, gave clear instructions , and he has a warm friendly demeanor. That evening Dr Sexton called me and my family member to see how I was doing? "Listen, Explained, and Give Options: For 63 years I've had a fear and tear from one molar extraction done incorrectly. The fear of the pain kept me from getting the three other molders removed. This started with a toothache on Friday and by Saturday (over a three day weekend) the pain was so intense that I cried most of the weekend just from the pain. I called my dentist but of course nothing could be done in till Tuesday, he got me in as quickly as he could and explained that I needed a root canal, because of an abscess he sent me to a doctor that specializes in root canals and he did a panoramic x-ray and found that the tooth was cracked, and it really couldn't benefit from a root canal, he sent me to Dr. Scott Weiskopf who did the extraction, so much difference from a specialize in his field! He listen to what I had to say, he gave me options on pain. I chose the nitrous oxide with a drip that put me to sleep, when I woke up I felt nothing and two days later I'm feeling even better. I would highly recommend Dr. Weiskopf to anybody who has a fear of pain; all of the staff were very friendly and helpful! Thank you very much for making this a whole lot easier and better for me; you did a great job! Respectfully, Robert O’Grady"

"Tolerated an absess? That began through sleep hour Friday night. Started a antibiotic Saturday morning. By Monday morning the access had become worse. My regular dentist looked at it Monday morning 8:a.m. He called & got me worked in as an emergency patient. I was checked in by staff 9:20a.m.. Nurse Jasmine worked me up & stayed with me while the abcess was lanced, drained & rinsed out. Jasmine did well checking every so often to be sure I was okay. "Today 10/27/21 was my first experience at Saxton Oral surgery center. I had an absessed tooth that needed to be pulled. It was so painful but with antibiotics the pain started to somewhat subside. Saxton was able to make me an appointment within a couple weeks of calling and I was able to do the consult a tooth extraxtion and the actual procedure in one visit. Check in was easy and the procedure was a breeze talking me through every step I think the whole appointment that included check in, consult and procedure was like an hour and here I am 3 hours later filling out this survey thank you saxton staff for a wonderful experience to a very painful event."
"Not going to lie, I was mortified about having my wisdom teeth surgically removed. I also (stupidly) watched a video of it. But all of my fears were for nothing. The whole staff is super sweet and very calming. Even helped make me laugh a little to ease me into everything. And Dr. Sexton? The smoothest dental doctor I have ever met. I only remember him setting up the IV and talking a little bit about my best friend who is a dental technician, and how she already scolded me for watching a video. I chose to not be put to sleep and to just get the laughing gas and novacain shot to numb me up and he did it so gentle and quick I didn't even notice. Once I was all numb and he was starting to do the extraction I got scared and he sat there calming me down telling me everything was going to be fine and then continued with the procedure and it barely hurt and he was done with both sides in less than 15 minutes. They have this awesome machine that shows them everything about your teeth even inside them. I'm thankful I was sedated because he said every single one of them shattered when he was taking them out. My consultation was excellent last week and yesterday 4/5 Dr.Weiskopf and his assistant (who was a sweetheart) removed my two top wisdom teeth within 20 minutes. I was shocked. Check this out the dentist even called last night to check on me and was very polite and patient in answering my questions. My wisdom teeth were erupted not impacted. They were also very flexible in letting me have a say in my sedation and pain meds so I wasn't knocked out all day. I am very grateful for the care I received. "I had a consultation with Dr. Sexton for an implant following a root canal and extraction by my dentist. After that I had another problem tooth and a very good endodontist did a root canal. I ended up needing an Apico procedure which was done by Dr. Sexton. Although it is a very busy practice, you really feel you are in the right place. The doctor and staff are amazing. They listen and help you best address your issues. Very professional. Highly recommend. Looking forward to getting my implant."

"After consulting one day, I had the comfort to proceed with surgery the next...so grateful I did not have a long wait. Staff was prompt, kind and professional. I was so surprised to awake feeling alert. Procedure took less than 45 minutes, followed by post op review with Dr. Weiskopf and he called that evening to check on me. This was the most pleasant dental experience & I have high regard for the Dr., his team, their handling me with kid gloves. & professional processes throughout. Thx"

"I usually don't leave reviews but I have to give credit where credit is due. I was nervous about getting all 4 of my wisdom after hearing a few horror stories so I wanted to make sure I found a good oral surgeon and as luck would have it I found a great one.Dr Weiskopf explained to me the procedure during the initial consultation and just before. Before I knew it I was done. They helped me to the recovery room then out to my ride. After a trip to Walmart for some applesauce and other soft goodies I was home watching movies like nothing happened. I never really had any real pain. The only downside to that was my wife had me cutting trees the next day on my (sick days off) lol. But anyways Dr Weiskopf called me on his personal cell phone and asked if I had any questions or concerns let him know. I did give him a text on Saturday and one on Sunday and he replied within 5 minutes. So anyways if your looking for a good oral surgeon look no further"
"I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Weiskopf recently. Dr. Weiskopf is very professional and friendly and knows what he is doing. They made sure my pain was at a minimum and talked to me while they were preparing to sedate me in order to ease my anxiety. Very friendly and caring staff. The procedure was done before I knew it and they made sure I got into the car safely. The next day my pain is little to none and I feel totally normal! Dr. Weiskopf even called me from his personal phone the next day to make sure I was doing okay and answered any questions I had. I definitely recommend Dr. Weiskopf to anyone who needs oral surgery. I was terrified of having my wisdom teeth removed but he made the experience wonderfully smooth and as stress-free as possible. I don't normally feel the need to leave a review for a business, but with my experience I felt it was warranted this time. Thank you Dr. Weiskopf! You and your staff are amazing."

"Within 10 minutes I was called back. Another 15 minutes and I was in the chair where Dr Sexton explained what to expect. Because of a bad experience many years ago elsewhere, I absolutely fear and dread having a tooth pulled. He was patient and although it was a smaller tooth, all I felt was a slight pressure. I felt no pulling or tugging. He just did what he does and minutes later, "Ok. We're done." Excellent DDS, excellent assistant and great staff. "

I'm military so I have control of what civilian referral I get to go see but happy to come here anytime. I have had zero issues here, my computer worker got referred to Dr. Sexton and he said he was awesome as well. Sorry that there are people here that feels it's necessary to leave a bad review bc of their own clumsiness or bc they have TV. Not everyone wants to read a novel or latest gossip magazine and not everyone wants to watch TV. You can't please everyone so a little advice if u are going to leave a review then judge the business on things that is in there control. Put in some headphones and listen to classical music if u must."

"I've had a fear of dentistry due to a childhood experience that caused me to not have dentistry for 10 years. I've been avoiding the dentist but needed an abscess drained and my wisdom teeth removed. I was referred to an oral surgeon. It took about four months of reading reviews and having unbearable pain but I chose Dr. Weiskopf. Flexible scheduling and the surgery was easy and pain free!! Great staff! All the sticking and pulling was done while I was asleep and I didn't feel anything."
