"My 15 YO son had all 4 wisdom teeth removed on 10/4/24. Dr. Sexton, Savannah, and Danielle were AMAZING! My son was a little nervous about the surgery, but Dr. Sexton and Savannah made the procedure like a calm relaxing nap. Dr. Sexton also called on day 2 after the surgery to make sure he was not having any pain and there was no complications. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Sexton Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for all of your oral surgery needs!"

"I got a broken molar tooth extracted and a new tooth implanted in this office. It is a process took several months, in which I am impressed with the kindness and good quality of work done by people here, especially by Dr. Sexton. I felt that he is frank and honest, made decisions based on the benefits of patient. I am now very pleased with my implanted tooth which functions very well, thanks to Dr. Sexton’s expertise."
"Needed fourth teeth pulled, three of them being wisdom teeth. Sexton was originally booked for almost two months in advance for a consult, but after being put on a cancelation wait list, I was able to be seen within two weeks of my original booking. After the consult, things professed fairly fast and my appointment was made two weeks later to get the teeth extracted. Sexton's staff and surgeons were very pleasant the entire time and their customer service skills were excellent. I'm a very anxious person and they did a great job with preoperative small talk to calm my nerves. They give you a very detailed handout with what you should and shouldn't do after surgery which I thought was super nice. All in all, I have nothing negative to say about Sexton, it was a wonderful experience. If you are looking for an oral surgeon in the Memphis area, this should be your first and only stop!"

They are aware of some of the painkillers having addictive effects which is comforting and they have options to avoid those drugs. They even have an optional follow up 2 weeks later if you are concerned about something too. I’m glad I went here for my removal"

"I highly recommend this office & Dr.Sexton if you need any Oral Surgery.. I was only there for a consult so will give further review if or once I complete my surgery.. It's a clean office.in a nice area..it's never a long wait to be seen..the staff was friendly & explained everything to you.. Dr.Sexton was very nice & friendly & made me feel comfortable & he explained everything so I can understand it & asked if I had any questions.. I can't say I'm looking forward to the surgery but I feel comfortable after just a consult with having him to do it.. I made it thru the surgery..the staff made sure I got safely to my waiting driver & ride with instructions on after care The staff was attentive caring & calmed my anxiety before the surgery with music to my liking, encouraging words & laughter Dr.Sexton is a THE BEST ORAL SURGERY DENTIST & my 1st hopefully only.. If I ever needed any more work done I'd be pleased to have him.. He takes great pride in his work & the care of his patients.. He called me after work hours himself to see how I was after surgery.. That was so important & made me feel great even tho I was in alot of pain... If you need Oral Surgery consider this facility.. I was'nt happy having to pay out of pocket on a portion of the surgery when I was told there would be no hidden or additional cost..But it does not take away from the staff being nice & friendly.. a clean office or the fact that Dr.Sexton is a great Oral Surgeon that cares about the work he does on his patients"

However due to the anesthesia I received I didn't feel any pain. Dr Sexton spoke to my family member after the procedure. Family said the Dr was great, gave clear instructions , and he has a warm friendly demeanor. That evening Dr Sexton called me and my family member to see how I was doing? "It was absolutely a great experience. I had no pain during the procedure, only took 3 tabs of ibuprofen as recommended after surgery. I have not needed any pain pills starting from next day. "Not going to lie, I was mortified about having my wisdom teeth surgically removed. I also (stupidly) watched a video of it. But all of my fears were for nothing. The whole staff is super sweet and very calming. Even helped make me laugh a little to ease me into everything. And Dr. Sexton? The smoothest dental doctor I have ever met. I only remember him setting up the IV and talking a little bit about my best friend who is a dental technician, and how she already scolded me for watching a video. I think we said a couple more things. But I dont even remember falling asleep! And man, when they woke me up they were much nicer than I could've ever expected. All in all, I will forever reccomend Sexton Oral Surgery. Everyone is beyond amazing. I dont even know why I was so worried before, it seems so trivial now. Thank you all so very much. "Today was the first time I had to be put under anesthesia. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous. But Dr. Weiskopf and his staff were very professional. Before my surgery and during the initial visit, I was informed of everything that would happen during my procedure. I went in with my nerves on edge but Dr. Weiskopf talked to me through the beginning of the procedure until I was completely anesthetized enough for the surgery to begin. I want to say thank you to Dr. Weiskopf and his staff as well as the entire clinic. I know for a fact it was a team effort of the Sexton Oral Surgery clinic. Bedside/chair side manner with that level of professionalism must be a team effort. I may still be affected by the anesthesia, but I say all of this to express my gratitude to the entire clinic 😭. "At 28 I finally had to face the music and get my wisdom teeth out. My wife, a lifelong Memphian, had hers taken out by Dr. Sexton long before we even met. I usually don't do reviews especially on medical professionals but I will have to say everything about my experience with Dr. Sexton and his staff was amazing. They really went beyond what I expected. On the day of the surgery everything went well and was sent home to recover. What really impressed me was the phone call I got on the Saturday evening following the procedure. Not only was this a Saturday but it was also a holiday weekend. (Easter). I got a call checking on my recovery, this call wasn't automated or from someone in the office. The call I received was from Dr. Sexton himself making sure I was okay and recovering well. This was something I wasn't expecting especially in a practice as large as his. I will recommend Dr. Sexton to anyone I know or don't know. He is a true professional and made what could have been a grueling procedure a great experience."

"Within 10 minutes I was called back. Another 15 minutes and I was in the chair where Dr Sexton explained what to expect. Because of a bad experience many years ago elsewhere, I absolutely fear and dread having a tooth pulled. He was patient and although it was a smaller tooth, all I felt was a slight pressure. I felt no pulling or tugging. He just did what he does and minutes later, "Ok. We're done." Excellent DDS, excellent assistant and great staff. "

"Dr. Weiskof is my oral surgeon and always a pleasant experience, That coming from someone who has a big fear of the dentist lol. I'm military so I have control of what civilian referral I get to go see but happy to come here anytime. I have had zero issues here, my computer worker got referred to Dr. Sexton and he said he was awesome as well. Sorry that there are people here that feels it's necessary to leave a bad review bc of their own clumsiness or bc they have TV. Not everyone wants to read a novel or latest gossip magazine and not everyone wants to watch TV. You can't please everyone so a little advice if u are going to leave a review then judge the business on things that is in there control. Put in some headphones and listen to classical music if u must."
